Obviously, as your computer thinks you're using a Xbox controller, you can't access any dualshock/dualsense specific features the game might have on the console version and will see Xbox button prompts.Xbox has the most substantial modding support when compared to other consoles. The only thing to keep in mind is there still needs to be some sort of gamepad support in the game (not necessarily Playstation) for it to latch onto and manipulate and that they can't reskin button prompts from Xbox to Playstation as the developers have to do that. The exception to this rule is Steam, in many cases Steam will do a lot of behind the scenes magic to make the PS4 controller work on games that wouldn't normally support it as well as offer all sorts of customisation options the game wouldn't normally give you. Most will also remap the buttons as part of the process as they already have those assets made for the PS4 console port.

For big studios with large buttons this isn't really a problem as they the cost is negligible, they probably have code laying around for it already, and the PS4 controller is popular enough it's worth the time putting it in. In most cases developers have to specifically code support Playstation controllers separate to support for Xbox controllers, if they don't code support you can't use the controller. A lot of the under the hood stuff on how the Xbox controller works is relatively unchanged from the 360 days while Sony has changed a lot throughout generations so you'll also find Xbox controllers are the most widely supported. Windows has built-in API libraries for Xbox controllers and recognises Xbox controllers 'out of the box' without much additional work on the developer's behalf so it's generally very low effort to add native Xbox controller support.
